Sievi ALASKA THERMO – a unique winter boot with an integrated heating system that adds practical comfort and work safety

Sievin Jalkine Oy brings to market the first winter boot that has a fully integrated heating system, patented as Therm-ic. The ALASKA Thermo winter boot is unique because a heating system is built into the boot construction. Practical comfort and durability increase, because the wires and other parts are hidden in the shoe.

The heating system for the ALASKA Thermo boot has a detachable and chargeable power source, which produces energy for the heating system, with only one charge being needed for the whole working day. The power source may be charged using normal line current. The heat can be easily controlled using the regulator on top of the power source. The heating system pleasantly warms the whole foot. Warmer feet increase safety, since they react more quickly to changing situations decreasing the risk of slipping. The risk of catching cold also diminishes when the feet stay warm.

The thermo winter boot has other properties that have been designed for the demands of cold conditions. The thermal insole is porous polythene with a soft wool teddy surface layer. The insole's aluminium layer reflects heat inwards and cold outwards. The boot has a genuine lamb skin fur lining. Thinsulate lining provides additional insulation. The roomy boot gives the foot sufficient room to get air and for movement. The thick rubber/PU sole provides especially good insulation on cold surfaces.

The Therm-ic boot and shoe dryer is available as an accessory to the heating system. It efficiently dries the inside if the shoe when it is damp. The boot and shoe dryer is safe and easy to use.
